Calendula and the creation of its macerate
Calendula, also called marigold flower, is a bright flower with yellow to orange petals.
Calendula flowers are first harvested by hand and then dried.
The flowers are carefully selected and then slowly infused in oil to gradually transmit their color, vegetal notes, and all their properties and uniqueness. This resting time is essential: it allows the oil to naturally absorb the plant.
As the maceration progresses, the oil takes on a beautiful golden hue, characteristic of calendula. Once the infusion is complete, the preparation is carefully filtered to obtain a clear, delicate macerate ready to be used.

Its name comes from the old French solsie / soulsie derived from the Latin solsequium meaning "that which follows the sun." Indeed, the Calendula flower opens and closes according to the rhythm of the sun.
