The hydrolate of Rose Geranium, in detail
It remains the most renowned and widely used essential oil.
The Rose Geranium is a plant highly valued for its aromas:
Originating from Southern Africa, it was introduced to Europe from the 17th century, where it quickly found its place in gardens and crops dedicated to perfumery.
Appreciated for its aromatic profile similar to rose, it has long been used as an alternative or complement in fragrance compositions, bringing freshness and balance to floral accords.
Beyond perfumery, its leaves have sometimes been used to flavor certain preparations, including infusions, syrups, or desserts, adding an original and delicate floral note.
