Peppermint hydrolate, in detail
Peppermint, between freshness and character.
Peppermint (Mentha × piperita) is an aromatic plant resulting from the crossing of spearmint and watermint.
Known since antiquity, it has been widely used in different cultures to flavor culinary preparations, beverages, and living spaces, linked to its fresh and characteristic scent.
Its fragrance is particularly intense, blending vegetal notes with a bright and penetrating aromatic sensation, easily recognizable.
It also plays an important role in the preparation of teas, especially in Maghreb cultures, where it is associated with green tea to create a fragrant and friendly beverage.
Peppermint is known for its great ability to grow quickly: when planted in a garden, it tends to spread easily and colonize its environment, to the point that it is often grown in pots to better contain it.
