Local origin

A MAS in PROVENCE is an independent company located in the South of France, allowing us to produce artisanally in the heart of Provence:
Lavenders planted in our fields
Essential oil extracted by our distiller producer directly at the MAS

We adopt an environmentally friendly approach, without chemical treatment, and respecting lunar cycles.

You can discover all our plants and working techniques directly on site during our guided tours.

Our lavender soap made in Mas

A natural and ecological soap designed for all skin types.

Natural and Eco-Friendly: By using organic and local ingredients, our soap respects not only your skin but also the environment. It is free from chemical additives, parabens, and sulfates.

Nourishing and Moisturizing: Thanks to the richness of natural oils, our soap gently cleanses the skin.

Gentle on Sensitive Skin: Its gentle and natural formula is ideal for sensitive and delicate skin, minimizing the risk of irritation and allergies.

Derived from cold saponification: Cold saponification is an artisanal method that offers many benefits, both for the skin and for the environment.

Lavender remains the most renowned and widely used essential oil.

The use of Lavender has evolved significantly over the centuries:

The Romans already used its aromatic qualities to scent their clothes and baths.
Its name comes from the Latin "lavare", which means "to wash". The term "lavandière" comes from the addition of lavender to laundry water to scent the clothes.
In the Middle Ages, its disinfectant properties were also exploited through fumigation.

In French hospitals, essential oils, including lavender oil, have long been used to sanitize and purify the air (thus contributing to the fight against microbial and fungal infections).

It is also used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine to relieve depressive states and by Tibetan Buddhist doctors to treat certain mental disorders.

Preservation of Ingredient Properties

Unlike industrial manufacturing methods that involve high heat, cold saponification is done at room temperature. This allows for the preservation of all the beneficial properties of vegetable oils and essential oils, such as their vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids.

Production of Natural Glycerin

This process naturally generates glycerin, an excellent moisturizing agent that attracts moisture to the skin, keeping it soft and supple. The glycerin produced remains entirely in the soap, unlike industrial soaps that often remove it to sell separately.

Reduced Ecological Impact

Cold saponification is a low-energy consumption process. It does not require prolonged cooking and uses natural ingredients, which minimizes the carbon footprint and reduces waste. Additionally, the soaps made this way do not contain harsh chemicals, making them biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

Quality and Durability

Soaps made by cold saponification tend to be harder and more durable, as they are left to cure for several weeks. This curing process strengthens their structure and extends their lifespan, providing a high-quality product that lasts a long time.

To be applied directly to the skin during daily washing, then rinse after application. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly.

Not recommended for:
children under 36 months
to be avoided in case of allergy to components (geraniol, limonene, linalool)
Keep out of reach of children
